Our tracking technologies and open platform collects, or creates live and static data streams from formal and informal public transport. We crunch this for you, so you don’t have to – and provide you with an API that supplies unique trip searches across all modes. Typically provides multiple itineraries in a fraction of a second even in large metropolitan networks – our response times are very efficient.

We have all transport data for Cape Town collected in our API. In 2015, we were the first startup to completely capture Taxi Routes and Bus Routes in Cape Town using an innovative mobile application. We map the entire Cape Town transport network every 2 years.

The GoMetro Routing API is a RESTful web service that responds to journey planning requests with itineraries in a JSON or XML representation. Plan multi-modal walking, wheelchair, bicycle and transit trips. Take travel time, road type, safety, and elevation into account, and allow users to customize the weighting of these three factors:

  • Imports data from GTFS, OpenStreetMap, and digital elevation models – we are a completely open data warehouse and can connect any data type to any other data type in the transport operating environment.
  • Supports one-to-many and many-to-many searches for planning, alternatives analysis, and accessibility research purposes.
  • Typically provides multiple itineraries in a fraction of a second even in large metropolitan networks – our response times are very efficient.
GoMetro-API3

The GoMetro Accessibility Index API is another RESTful web service that provides information derived from the input GTFS feed(s). Examples include routes serving a particular stop, upcoming vehicles at a particular stop, upcoming stops on a given trip, etc.

The OTP Analyst Web Services provide network analysis results such as travel time maps and isochrones as standard web Mercator tiles or GIS rasters via a WMS-derived API.

Our API provides integrations into different traffic information sources for real-time traffic updates.
